Google Workspace for Education, formerly known as G Suite, is a collection of cloud computing, productivity and collaboration tools, software and products developed by Google.
All active students, faculty and staff are now able to sign into their Google account using their CU username and password.
- Create, edit, and share documents, spreadsheets, presentations, and forms.
- Google Drive provides an easy way to create, edit, and share documents.
- Tools include word processing, spreadsheets, and presentations.
- Drive is offered as secondary to Microsoft Office 365 & OneDrive (M365), and supplements your personal and shared cloud storage.
Please note:
- Gmail and Google Calendar are not on the current or future roadmap and Microsoft’s M365 Exchange will remain the sole email service at Commonwealth University.
- Please note that while Google Drive is available, the primary data storage mechanism will remain OneDrive. Google Drive should not house any university data, regardless of sensitivity.
