Commonwealth Academic Technology and Support (CATS) assists the use of instructional technology to achieve higher learning in any learning environment.
CATS provides high quality, customer-centered services to assist with achieving higher education in the classroom. We are here to support the instructional goals of faculty with training and support, distance learning and instructional design services, and professional development opportunities.
We offer training and support for instructional technology for CU faculty, staff, and students.
Classroom Technology
CATS works alongside IT staff to provide exceptional instructional support and guidance for using classroom technology.
Online and Multimodal Learning
CATS manages and supports the online learning management system, Brightspace, and all its integrated tools and services, as well as the video conferencing tool Zoom and its integrated services.
Training and Resources
CATS works alongside the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) to provide professional learning and development opportunities for faculty and staff on pedagogical, instructional, and technological topics.
