Copy your Zoom recordings to Mediasite and Brightspace Course Channel

Summary

Automatically copy recordings from Zoom to Mediasite. You can choose to add them to Brightspace in a playlist if you want as well.

Body

You can use the Mediasite Zoom Cloud integration to copy your Zoom Cloud recordings over to MyMediasite. We recommend storing any recordings for student playback in Mediasite since it is our streaming media player on campus.

There are options when you create or edit a meeting that allow you to copy the Zoom recording of the meeting over to Mediasite. You can apply the setting to future meetings or retroactively to meetings that recorded within the last 30 days.

This does not work recordings older than 30 days. For those recordings you will have to manually move them over.

Once you automatically copy your recordings over to Mediasite, you can also put them into a playlist in your Brightspace course called Mediasite Course Channel. This can be a good way to keep your synchronous class recordings in one place for students to refer to in a course, or to provide recorded sessions for any asynchronous learners or students who missed sessions.
