Adobe End of Life for Creative Cloud Synced Files

Summary

Adobe ending CC Synced Files so end users must manage files from device location rather than via CC.

Body

Starting February 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for personal accounts that existed before December 11, 2023 (learn more here). Starting October 1, 2024, Creative Cloud Synced files will be discontinued for business accounts associated with organizations that existed before December 11, 2023 (learn more here).

If you are using Creative Cloud synced files, files saved to Creative Cloud Files will no longer be saved to cloud storage to be shared across devices! Files and folders shared with others will no longer be accessible to anyone but the author of the file on the device the file was authored on. You will need to locate your files on your device(s) and save them to another location from which you can share files.

Full information about the impact and how to manage are here: https://helpx.adobe.com/ca/creative-cloud/kb/eol-creative-cloud-synced-files.html

If you are unsure about your type of account, Adobe says it will send an operational email at least 90 days before the beginning of discontinuing Creative Cloud Synced files to impacted accounts, and another email 30 days prior to content deletion from Cloud storage. Please check your email accounts for messages from Adobe related to this change.

Please handle your files accordingly. If you have any questions or concerns, let us know at cats@commonwealthu.edu.
