For Help with Zoom Recordings (CMHC Students)

Overview:

Students in the Clinical Mental Health Counseling (CHMC) program will need to record in Zoom. All CMHC students should receive a "pro" or licensed CU Zoom account that allows for cloud recording.

Due to the sensitive nature of the some of the recordings, students in the CHMC program will only be able to record to the cloud, and will not be able to download their recordings, only share them via the Zoom portal with other CU Zoom users.

FAQ

I'm a CMHC student, but I can't record to the cloud. What do I do?

Contact CATS, either by email at cats@commonwealthu.edu or call us at 570-389-2065 M-F 9am-4pm. We can upgrade your Zoom account and add you to the CMHC zoom group.

Do I need to pay for a Zoom account?

No. Your CommonwealthU Zoom account will be upgraded with no charge. Please contact CATS if you need assistance.

How can I download my recording to share with my external (to CU) clinical supervisor?

For data security, you will not be able to download your recording. To share the recording with someone external to CU, you will need to share your screen and play it for them during a Zoom meeting and watch it together.

How can I share my recording with my CU professor?

You can access your recordings on your Zoom portal at https://commonwealthu-edu.zoom.us then Recordings and Transcripts, find your recording, and click Share and type in your professor's email address, then click Send.

How do I sign-in to Zoom?

Please see our support article here: Signing into Commonwealth University Zoom

Who do I contact if I still have questions?

For questions about Zoom, please contact CommonwealthU Academic Technology and Support (or CATS) at cats@commonwealthu.edu. For questions about your assignments, please contact your professor.
