Create and Add Videos to your Mediasite Course Channel

Instructors can create a playlist called Mediasite Course Channel in Brightspace. Once created, videos can be added individually or automatically from Zoom or Mediasite.

Create the Mediasite Course Channel in Brightspace

1. In your Brightspace course, click Resources, then Mediasite Course Channel.
   
2. The Course Channel is created and shows up in the course frame.
   

Add Videos from Zoom to Course Channel Automatically

1. Click the name of the course to go back to the course homepage.
   
2. In the browser address bar, select and copy the number that follows the "home/" portion of the web address of your course. This is what we call the Brightspace course ID number or ou#.
   
3. In the Zoom portal at https://commonwealthu-edu.zoom.us edit or create a meeting.
4. Scroll down past Meeting Options and select Yes in the Copy to Mediasite drop down menu.
5. In the "Course ID number from Brightspace" field, paste the ou# you copied in step 2 above.
6. Click Save.
   
7. This will automatically copy any recordings from the meeting to Mediasite and add them to your Mediasite Course Channel in Brightspace.

Add Videos from Mediasite to Course Channel

1. In your course, click Resources, then MyMediasite.
2. Click the name of a Presentation.
   
3. Click Edit Details (on the right).
   
4. Scroll down to the Modules part of the page and click Add Module.
   
5. Click the name of your course. Only courses in which you created a Mediasite Course Channel will appear here.
   
6. Click Save.
   
7. Your presentation will appear in your course's Mediasite Course Channel.
