Before starting a quiz in Brightspace, we recommend that you are connected to a reliable Wi-Fi network and have a charged battery or are connected to AC power.
What if I lose my network connection?
Within 10-30 seconds of losing your network or Wi-fi connection to CU Brightspace, you'll see a message displayed that your answers are no longer being saved. Please reconnect to your wi-fi network. Students can exit from Lockdown Browser to do this and re-enter their quiz.
What if my computer or iPad freezes or crashes?
Restart your device. You'll be able to re-enter the quiz and resume from the last saved question.
What if my quiz is timed? Will I get more time to take it?
No. The timer starts from when you first enter the quiz, and continues to count down whether or not you are actively taking it. We recommend restarting your device quickly to rejoin your quiz. If your time to take the quiz was severely impacted, please let your instructor know.
I accidentally submitted my quiz. Can I resume where I left off?
No. It is not possible to "un-submit" a quiz in Brightspace. If you accidentally submitted, please let your instructor know right away.
I think I took a quiz, but my instructor says I didn't and has no record of it. Is this possible?
No. The Brightspace quizzes platform logs all quiz attempts from the time of entry. If you aren't sure, please reach out to CATS at cats@commonwealthu.edu for confirmation.
