What if I added or dropped a course, but my Brightspace hasn't updated?

Technical glitches can happen, and sometimes students aren't added or removed from courses in Brightspace after changing their schedules.


I signed up for a course, but don't see it yet...

If you have registered for a course in Banner and you don't see it in Brightspace...

Step 1) Please confirm that you are looking in the right semester. Sometimes students filter by the wrong semester in the MyCourses widget in Brightspace. 


 

Step 2) Confirm that actually registered for the course in Banner. Wait-listed courses will not appear in Brightspace.

Step 3) Reach out to CATS for Brightspace support at cats@commonwealthu.edu 

 

I dropped a course, but I still see it in Brightspace...

If you dropped a course, but still see it in Brightspace, don't panic

Step 1) Confirm that the course has been dropped in Banner. If the course was dropped from your schedule in Banner, you will not be charged for the course. 

Step 2) Reach out to CATS for Brightspace support at cats@commonwealthu.edu and let us know what course you dropped. We can manually correct your courses in Brightspace.
