Use templates in your course to improve the visual quality of your content and encourage learner engagement.
Legacy Content Experience
Step 1: Enable HTML Templates in Your Content Settings
- In course content, click Settings.

- In Content Settings, scroll down to Content Authoring and select "Enable HTML Templates" and "Sort HTML Templates by name".

- The default path for templates is the CU shared files location of our V5 templates. If you have your own templates, you can change this path to yours in your course.
- Click Save when done.

Step 2: Apply a Template to a Topic
- In a content module, click Upload/Create then Create a File or click the drop-down menu beside a topic title and select Edit HTML.

- In the HTML editor, at the top of the page, click Select a Document Template.
- Select a template you want to apply to the page.

- Use the HTML editor to edit the contents of your page.
- Select text to edit it.
- Click images and replace or edit them.
- Click Creator+, Insert Stuff, and on other editor features to add media content or URLs.
- Use the Accessibility checkers to check for accessibility issues and correct them before saving your topic.
- Click Save and Close or Save.
